Introduction
Users of the Corti Console may require more than one Project to achieve development goals or to complete the desired build. The following article will walk through the steps and implications of creating a new Project.
Create a New Project
Click the Project Name menu in the upper right corner of the Console
Within the menu, click 'New Project'
The following page will prompt you to enter a project name, and click 'Create Project'
Note: 'Corti' will be auto-filled in the 'Project Name' field by default. You may remove this test and enter the appropriate name for your Project.
New Project Implications
Each Project houses and utilizes separate API Clients
API Clients cannot be used across Projects. You will need to create at least one new API Client to authenticate calls to each of your Projects.
Team Members do not automatically have access to all Projects
Team Members must be invited to each project to gain access and view API Client(s). If a team member does not have the appropriate access you may manage your team within the Team tab of the Console.
Customers and users are managed separately across Projects
If you are managing Customers and customer users within your Corti Console, please note that customers and customer users will solely exist within the Project in which they are created.
Each Project is billed separately
If you are on Corti's pay as you go model, a separate payment method must be added to each Project within the Billing section.
Note: The same credit card or bank account may be used across Projects
Credits are applied at the Project level
Each Project is allotted a specified amount of credits upon creation. If those credits are used, additional credits must be purchased. The purchased credits only apply to the Project in which they are ordered.
You may track credit consumption within the usage dashboard.
