What is a Virtual Session?
A virtual session allows Corti Assistant to capture audio from another browser tab or desktop application*. This audio serves as the patient's channel, ensuring that Corti Assistant can process and document the conversation accurately.
This is great to capture audio from an online meeting or application through which the conversation is be taking place, if not in-person.
How to Start a Virtual Session?
In your session, click
to see the available settings and toggle Virtual mode to make it a virtual session.
Now click "Record" to start your recording and you will be asked to select the browser tab or desktop application* you want to capture audio from.
The session will now start and the audio coming from the chosen tab or desktop application* will be transcribed as Them in the Transcript window in Corti Assistant.
* Only on windows devices. See below.
Note:
Virtual sessions are only supported in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Browsers like Safari and Firefox do not support tab audio sharing, so we recommend using a compatible browser for the best experience.
On Windows devices, you can also record audio from a desktop application directly. This enables full audio capture from tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other video conferencing platforms—not just browser tabs. Simply select your desktop as the audio source when prompted.
Troubleshooting
No audio detected? Ensure that the Share tab audio option was selected when initiating the share.
Session not capturing audio? Restart the share process and confirm that the correct tab is selected.
